Monolith Things
October 13, 2011

So, I took a bunch of nighttime shots in the park by my house. And I thought "You know what would go great in these scenes? Some weird-ass glow-y monolith things, that's what." I wish I knew what was wrong with me.

Another iPhone
October 11, 2011

Yep. That's another spinning iPhone. I made this one for a challenge posted on greyscalegorilla.com. The end result was supposed to emulate the intro to the latest iPhone 4S video. Man, that pure-white Apple background kind of sucked to work with in C4D, but I think I eventually pulled it all together.

Using My Big Words
October 6, 2011

I've always liked the style of the Animation Domination bumpers on Fox. I thought I'd take a crack at creating something similar. These are the clean versions. The other ones are all swears.

HEY BIG PHARMA! Check it out! I modeled some drugs for you guys. I figure if I can't get work doing the spinning phone thing, then I can come work for you.

You have my number. Call me sometime.

Motion Tracking

I've always wanted to match a 3D scene to handheld camera footage. I know. My using the word "alley" in the alley is way too crazy-original/creative. YOU JUST GOT INCEPTED!

iPhone
September 27, 2011

So, I found a 3D wireframe of an iPhone on the interwebs. I figured since I didn't have anything else to do right now (#unemployed), that I'd light it and animate it and all that. For sure this will help me get a job, because I'm fairly certain that 90% of all 3D work out there is making some kind of phone (sorry...mobile device) spin around and look pretty.

3D Animation Test
September 20, 2011

I've been working on bringing some 3D skills to the table. This was a pretty cool project that allowed me to tackle a bunch of different techniques at once.
